All stories matter

We hope these stories will inspire you and more young people to come forward and share their own, helping to break down the stigma surrounding mental health.

I don’t want to go

April 4, 2017 • Divyanjali Verma • Female • 19 • Lucknow

Some days are darker than others. Some days I want to run away. But there’s that little voice which reminds me of everything, Which whispers words of love, says- “Don’t go.” And I reply “I don’t want to go.”

I saw them lost in conversation. A momentary casual connection between people and thought it was this transient moment of utter meaninglessness which captured the essence of what we so often want. Nothing more than a brief connection, and a shared smile, but so powerful in reaching happiness.

Divyanjali is a 19 year old artist, writer and psychology undergraduate from Lucknow.  She describes herself as a reader, writer, dreamer, music lover and a wanderer in search of that which is still unknown, trying to spread smiles in every way she can.
